📝 Ingredients:

For Pizza Dough:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (maida)

  • 1 tsp dry active yeast

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 tbsp oil

  • 3/4 cup lukewarm water

For Pizza Sauce:

  • 2 tomatoes (blanched and pureed)

  • 1 tbsp tomato ketchup

  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes

  • 1/2 tsp oregano

  • 1 tsp garlic paste

  • Salt to taste

  • 1 tsp oil

For Toppings:

  • 1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese

  • 1/2 onion (sliced)

  • 1/2 capsicum (sliced)

  • 1/2 tomato (sliced or deseeded)

  • Sweet corn, olives, jalapeños (optional)

  • Chili flakes and oregano for garnish


🍳 Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Dough

  1. In a bowl, mix yeast, sugar, and lukewarm water. Let it rest for 10 minutes until frothy.

  2. In another bowl, add flour and salt. Pour in the yeast mixture and knead to a soft dough.

  3. Add oil and knead again for 5-7 minutes. Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until it doubles.

Step 2: Make Pizza Sauce

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add garlic paste and sauté for a few seconds.

  2. Add tomato puree, ketchup, salt, chili flakes, and oregano. Cook till it thickens. Set aside.

Step 3: Roll & Assemble the Pizza

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (or heat a tawa with lid on low flame).

  2. Punch the dough and divide it into 2 balls. Roll into a circular base of medium thickness.

  3. Place on a greased baking tray or tawa plate.

  4. Spread a generous layer of pizza sauce.

  5. Add cheese, then layer the veggies. Sprinkle some oregano and chili flakes.

  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden and cheese is melted. On tawa: Cover and cook on low flame for 15-18 minutes.
